Black Beans

Black Beans  One day, a foolish man carried a cart
of black beans to the market to sell,
when he crossed a bridge, the cart turned
over and the beans fell into the river. He
hurried into the river to take his beans
up. He saw many tadpoles in the river and mistook them for his black beans.
When the tadpoles saw a man enter the river they took flight. The foolish man shouted, “ Black beans, ah, black beans! Don’t you know me? Even though you have grown tails, I still can know you.”
