人们在语言表达中,为了引起听者注重,或许要着重自己的言语中某个内容很重要,总要用多种办法加强口气。下面介绍一些常见的表达办法。
1.用It is(was)...that(who)...结构。如:
It was last week that he told me the news.
It is Mr Liu who(that)will repair the computer for me.
2.用表明程度的副词如very,quite,most,extremely等。例如:
It’s very hot today.Would you like to go swimming with me?
He is quite right.
3.only能够着重句中任何一个成份,并放在被着重成份之前。如:
Only I saw the tiger there yesterday.
I saw only the tiger there yesterday.
Only there did I see the tiger yesterday.(留意这儿only着重地址状语置于句首,用倒装句"did I see")
Only yesterday did I see the tiger there.
4.用ever so,ever much,ever,else,onearth等与疑问词what,who,when,why,where等连用时,表明“终究、究竟”等着重含义。例如:
What ever do you mean?
Where on earth has he gone?
When else shall we meet again if you are not free today?
5.用oneself等反身代词着重某些名词或代词的含义。如:
The King went to see the artist himself.
I saw it myself=I myself saw it.
The boy can now swim across the river bv himself.
6.用助动词do放在谓语动词前并重读,能够加强口气。例如:
I do want to go with you.我一定要和你去。
She does know about it.她的确知道此事。
They did win.他们真的赢了。
